I’ll never forget Ba’s warm hospitality and kind heart; at the rooftop café we listened to a talented local musician perform an amazing Rajasthani song while watching the desert sunset over coffee or chai, and we enjoyed a variety of cuisines, clean rooms, and an unforgettable stay in the living fort, complete with a camel desert tour.

“Très bon emplacement mais hôtel non adapté à notre besoin.”

The place was very well located and the owner was friendly, but I didn’t realize there was no air‑conditioning in the room—so be careful if you come in summer. The promised internet was not provided at all, the electricity cut out several times for hours, and the water price was not clearly listed; I thought it was included, but the owner charged me extra at the end, with a surcharge between the ticket price and the bottle label, which was frustrating in the heat.

This is a great spot inside the Jaisalmer fort, situated in the northwestern corner tower, offering views of the town from the room window and terrace; Ba is extremely friendly, and instead of a bucket hot shower the room has electric geyser hot water right in the shower, giving incredible value for money in low season.

I loved the rooftop view and the calm atmosphere, and Ba—who was also the best cook—made the experience unforgettable.
