“This hotel is dark, smells & no staff when we wanted to check in !”
I had zero positives and everything was a disappointment.

The room was rundown, with a bad smell that could be dirt or smoke. The bathroom floor had dirt in the corners, and the bath towel had a reddish‑purple spot. The worst was the window curtain – a dirty dark gray that hadn’t been washed or changed for ages. Very bad experience, would not recommend.

The staff were very nice and helpful, especially Chequita! I was annoyed that check‑out was only at 11 a.m. and the pool could use a deep clean.

No breakfast was offered, so that explains why the price was lower. I compared the same room booked directly, and the direct rate was 65 higher in taxes and fees. Does Candlewood add an in‑house reservation fee?

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room had all the amenities I needed, a fridge, strong Wi‑Fi, and a nice bed. The only problem was the neighbors slamming their doors repeatedly between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., and the hallway smelled like pot.
