The warm welcome from Lorinna, in Edwards' absence, and all her advice on the area and activities made the kids even able to surf, even though it wasn’t planned; the accommodations are simple but surrounded by nature, and nothing negative.

It was 11 out of 10—perfect location, tranquility, style, layout and vibe exactly as it should be; the owners made the stay incredibly comfortable, took you everywhere you wanted, recommended places to visit, and helped with onward travel throughout Borneo; kind, knowledgeable and unique, I can’t praise it enough.

First of all: if you don't have your own transport: just contact Howard, the owner. He will be able to arrange a ride for you to get to Tampat do Aman (and back)! We had a rental car, but there we a couple of other travellers staying here, who got there with transport arranged by the owner. We really enjoyed our stay here. We rented a villa/bungalow and got a really warm welkom when we arrived. The 2 longhouses, huts and bungalows are located within a big plot of (well maintained) jungle. The accommodations are simple, but clean and comfortable. Good bed, mosquito net (no holes!), kettle and everything is clean. It's obvious that a lot of love (and labour) is put in to set up and maintain the accommodation, small museum that is on the premises and the private jungle/nature reserve across the street. It's about 5 minutes from the beach and approximately 10 to 15 min. to the tip of Borneo. Howard was very helpfull in providing information about the area. Howard, the owner, is super welcoming and gives you all the info and tips; the location is inside nature; the breakfast—eggs on bread—are delicious; nothing negative, but it’s better to have your own car to move easily.
