We stayed in a palace that felt like a family‑only retreat, a heritage building with lovely gardens beside the Periyar river backwaters; walking through the gates felt like stepping back in time. The atmosphere was serene and very relaxing, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed a sunset backwater cruise and homely food, and in the morning we visited the nearby Chittoor Sreekrishna Swamy temple. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay at Chittoor Kottaram.

I was blown away by the place—Sajitha, Martin, Balaram, and Milton made everything feel like pure magic, the food was extraordinary, and the team was just top.

The place is truly extraordinary! The English lady furnished the interior with a unique refinement, and the warmth of the people adds to it. Milton and his crew handle everything to the finest detail. The chef deserves at least 17 Gaut Millau points for her Indian delights.
