Spark by Hilton Carlisle South

I was bitten by bed bugs and the staff blamed me, refusing to refund my money even though I have photos of the bite marks. The front desk seemed clueless about anything.

“Ok but not great.”

The room was clean and comfortable, but we were assigned a handicapped room that reduced the vanity area unnecessarily, and the proximity to the highway made it very noisy.

The room was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and helpful, coffee was available 24/7, and the location made it easy to catch the 81; nearby restaurants were convenient. However, the hallway on the second floor was dark and smelled of smoke despite the building being non‑smoking.

“Affordable”

The bathroom was updated, the breakfast area was simple, and the bed was comfortable. Yet the floor was dirty with hair all over the area outside the bathroom, we were warned that hot water might be unavailable that night, a loud guy upstairs disturbed us, and the pipes running along the air conditioner made noise.

“Great location, friendly and helpful staff.”

I loved the location, but breakfast was mediocre; I would have preferred a hot breakfast instead of just bagels, yogurt, and oatmeal.
