Located three miles from Penn State Harrisburg, the Econo Lodge Harrisburg offers proximity to Harrisburg Area Community College, the Farm Show Complex, Hersheypark, and Hershey's Chocolate World. Nearby attractions include Gettysburg National Military Park (35 miles) and Pennsylvania Dutch Country (40 miles). Bass Pro Shops and a shopping mall are within walking distance, along with a golf course, movie theater, and several restaurants.

The bathroom was spacious, but I was disappointed overall: the accommodations were subpar, a $100 security deposit was unexpectedly required, the floor was very loud at night, there was a lack of staff, the air conditioning was absurdly loud, and the TV was from the early 2000s. It’s the worst hotel I’ve stayed at recently, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone in Harrisburg.

I was close to the highway because we were heading back on the road at 4:30 am. The place was dirty—floors, walls, everything—and there was a bad smell in the lobby, the same spot where the breakfast was, which we didn’t use because we had to leave very early.

The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. The building needs an update and could have been cleaner.
