We had the entire house to ourselves and it was tidy. The bathroom was nice, and the shower rooms came with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It was a charming traditional house with minimal décor. When we arrived there was no communication at all. We had received check‑in details for two rooms, so we didn’t know which one to use. The keybox for the first room had the wrong key and opened a third room meant for four people. When we finally entered the second room, the bed was only made for one person and we were given only one towel. We tried to contact the owner repeatedly but never heard back, so we had to make the bed ourselves by finding another duvet and bedsheets in a closet. It was fine, but I wish there had been some communication so we wouldn’t feel like we were snooping for what we needed to sleep. The air‑conditioner was in terrible shape and couldn’t keep up with the daytime heat. Even with it set as cold as it could, the room was still so hot that I woke up multiple times at night sweating. I would still recommend staying here, but perhaps in the fall or winter instead.

Everyone was gone, so it felt like a private rental. The view from the window was a cemetery, which was disappointing.

The space was clean and suitable for pottery hunting during a normal season. There weren’t enough hangers or places to hang towels so they could dry properly.

“まずまず”

The indoor facilities were new, the bathroom and shower room were clean, and the bed was tidy and good. There was a parking lot next to the building, which was handy on rainy days. The entrance area was a jungle; the back of the building is the actual entrance, but navigating to it was difficult. On a very rainy day, we couldn’t use an umbrella and the droplets from surrounding plants soaked our clothes. When we opened the door, there was no entrance hall, so we had to step into the rain, take off our shoes, and the umbrella stand outside was useless because rainwater pooled on the inside of the umbrella. I had to use the shoe tray in the room as an umbrella stand. The garden trees in the corridor need pruning for future guests. A big spider ran across the hallway right after we entered, which freaked out a child who hates spiders. I understand that things come in, but a thorough cleaning beforehand would be appreciated.

“部屋は良いけど、立地が残念でした。”

The room was clean and well‑sunlit, so I had a comfortable stay. It would have been nice to have a mirror and a lamp. The nearby convenience store closes early and has almost no products, and the only dining option is a ramen shop, so I wish this had been mentioned beforehand.
