The spot’s perfect—near the motorway and a hospital, the staff were kind and helpful, and there were luggage trolleys. The only downside was the beds being too firm for my taste, otherwise they were fine.

After two long flights I asked for a quiet room and got a 4th‑floor room away from the road, which was perfect. The staff were great at storing and retrieving my bags after check‑out, printing a form I needed, and welcoming me. It’s very close to the train station for Newmarket (major shopping centre, etc.) and Auckland city centre, and there’s a large hypermarket across the road. The only minor gripe is the grapefruit and grapefruit juice at breakfast—I might just be a bitter oldie.

The place is in a great spot and spotless.

The staff were friendly and the location is good, but the rooms feel tired and the value is poor. The food is terrible and we had to wait a long time for both dinner and breakfast.
