Family-run since 1906, Hotel Lokomotive is in the immediate vicinity of the main train station of Linz. It offers comfortable rooms and a rich breakfast buffet. The nearby city centre can be reached by public transport in about 10 minutes. The “Zentrum” motorway exit is close by.

Convenient for the station and a short walk into town, the breakfast was good, and the top‑floor room was a nice size. Nothing else stood out.

The hotel’s location near Linz’s main train and bus station made commuting a breeze—just a 5‑minute walk to the platforms. I stayed on the top floor in a room that featured a seating area, a large screen TV, skylights, and windows that opened wide; it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly, so I’d recommend it. The only drawback was the shower, which was tiny but acceptable for a single night. No other issues came up.
