The cottage was lovely, tucked away on a quiet yet easily reachable road, and the owner was extremely helpful, showing us around and making it clear that the cottage was ours to use as we liked. Breakfast was unusual—a well‑stocked fridge for us to prepare whatever we wanted, with a selection of cold and cookable items that worked perfectly. We probably set off the hyper‑sensitive smoke alarm a few too many times while cooking, and by the end of the week it became a bit annoying; we understand why it’s needed, but we do enjoy our bacon cooked to perfection!

The place is perfect for disconnecting and exploring North Wales and the attractive city of Chester, but the best part was John’s (and his little dog Bella’s) attention. It was a pleasure talking with him, and I can’t rate it higher than 10.

We had visited this B&B before and once again it didn’t let us down. There were no drawbacks.
