“Leuk huisje voor een week met mooi weer.”

Our little house was next to a lovely inner garden where we could sit in the sun. The shower water ran through the whole space, and a threshold prevented us from pushing it back with the floor mop. A small oven would have been nice. It was a bit odd that the two adjacent bedrooms had no doors. A small shelf or cabinet to store clothes would have been useful.

“Hygiene ronduit slecht!”

The location was perfect for our Lowlands festival trip and was definitely more comfortable than a tent on the campsite. The main price paid for a basic accommodation that was NOT cleaned! There were dirty spots everywhere, truly disgraceful for the price we paid. We reported this to Europarcs through several channels but never received a response.

The chalet smelled awful, had flies on the sofa, and the tables were greasy with stains. The kitchen cabinets had loose doors and the lacquer on the outside of the chalet was peeling. It was clearly due for a major renovation. We paid 684 euros for three days, but after the second night we decided to leave. Drama. We complained to the reception about the smell, they said they would look into it, but I’m not sure if anyone came; Geir was still there. Drama. The old and stinky place was heading for renovation, and at arrival the reception was closed so we had to call security, which was not very helpful because the security officer seemed to have 5‑6 new arrivals to deal with.

I booked a room that looked nothing like the photo and it was filthy; we could only sleep and cook because everything was so dirty. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, and when I mentioned the issue to the staff there was no response.
