The location is convenient, close to the parking. The building is very clean but feels a bit dated; in my opinion it’s somewhat overrated.

The view is beautiful, the staff lovely, and the room comfortable with a great bathroom. The walls are paper‑thin, so you can hear other guests.

The location is amazing, right in the center. The breakfast is satisfactory. The service is perfect, and parking is offered at a great price.

“centrally located and nice but my bed had no duvet so I was v cold; ask for a duvet or blanket”

The hotel looks nice and the staff were friendly, but my bed came without a duvet—just a thin sheet and cover, so I was freezing all night and had to dress up to sleep. I could have asked reception for a blanket, but didn’t want to disturb anyone. Breakfast had some items missing when I arrived, which made me stay up until 3 am. I blame myself for not noticing the lack of a duvet at check‑in, but everything else was fine—just ask for a blanket next time.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Cesare. The location is exceptional, right in the heart of the historic centre of San Marino, with beautiful views over the surrounding landscape. The hotel itself has a very special atmosphere: elegant, stylish and full of character, yet at the same time warm, comfortable and pleasantly unpretentious. Our room was beautifully and individually designed, with a perfect balance of style and comfort. We also very much enjoyed the restaurant. The food was excellent, and we particularly appreciated finding vegan dishes on the menu, which is still not something one can take for granted. The service throughout the hotel was friendly, attentive and professional. Staying here also added greatly to the experience of discovering San Marino itself. Everything is within walking distance, and stepping out of the hotel straight into this extraordinary historic setting, high above the beautiful surrounding countryside, is something very special. For us, everything came together perfectly. The only small point concerns the vegan options at breakfast. The breakfast itself was of excellent quality, but we would have appreciated a somewhat wider vegan selection, for example more fresh vegetables and a few additional plant‑based choices. This would make an already excellent breakfast even better for vegan guests. Apart from this, we have nothing negative to mention.
