“Ottima esperienza”
The staff were super kind, family‑friendly welcome. The room was large and every need was met. Excellent location, just a 10‑minute drive from Basel (St Jakob).

Good value for money, rooms have everything needed, staff are very friendly and helpful.

The whole staff was very warm, generous, and attentive, but the hotel feels a bit dated.

Free parking was a plus and there were restaurants, a café, a bakery and an Asian supermarket nearby. The property felt very worn, wasn’t properly cleaned, only had a narrow double‑bed blanket for two people, no front‑desk and the only contact was a phone line on call; we arrived to a locked door and had to call to check‑in, which should have been mentioned earlier. The room was hot, smelled of chlorine and seemed as if nobody had lived there for months; we captured all of this on photos so you can see for yourself.

The hosts were warm and friendly, and because the hotel includes a Chinese restaurant it was handy to have dinner there, with reduced prices for guests (though I’m not sure if that’s always the case). Even though there was a weekend buffet, we could still order à la carte and the portions were more than enough, so taking leftovers home was welcomed. We booked three rooms for one night while passing through Tuscany, without breakfast. The rooms showed their age and needed renovation; some external blinds were broken or wouldn’t stay in place, leaving them either fully open or shut. One room had an outlet mounted on the wall’s exterior (definitely not child‑friendly), another had a cracked sink, and although the linens were clean, one cover bore a stubborn red stain that wouldn’t come out. Because the rooms were on the top floor and got very warm, some form of portable cooling would have been nice, even though it wasn’t advertised online.
