Our reservation was cancelled and we only found out when we arrived at the hotel at 11pm; maybe the hotel had overbooked.

Honestly, nothing at all! The outside door looked incredibly uninviting, as if someone had tried to kick it down, and there was no bell to ring—I was lucky someone happened to be coming out. There was no lift and the stairs were very dark. I couldn’t find a clear place to register my arrival and had to knock on a door twice before someone answered. The man I met was courteous and showed me how to use the three codes needed to enter the building, the flat, and the room. The carpets appeared unclean for a long time, and I had to share a bathroom, which isn’t great if you’re in a hurry. I was charged £360 for two nights, an outrageous price given the conditions; they should not be charging more than £50 per night. An American lady in a neighboring room called it a “dump,” and I agree with her. I would never recommend anyone to stay here.
