The metro access was good, but the room had a broken window and the owner didn’t respond at all.

The basement kitchen was well equipped, and a large fan in the room helped us sleep through the heat. We had originally booked a different place that fell through because of a pipe burst, and while the host sent us helpful emails about the new accommodation, answers to specific cost questions were scarce later on. At least we had a roof over our heads. Our room faced the street, so it was very noisy in the morning. London was scorching during our visit, and the room often exceeded 30 °C, with little relief at night. The bathroom was half a flight down, so we always had to watch where we stepped. There was an extra shower and toilet next to it. Both kitchen and bathroom were cleaned daily.

“Great little shared flat!”

The location is perfect for Brockwell Park events, and the shared flat is lovely, clean, and compact. The room and flat have nice little touches and good storage. I appreciated the tea in the kitchen and the toiletries in the bathroom, and the shower was great—water pressure and temperature control were excellent. The room was well decorated and clean throughout, and the blinds were easy to use, which helped with the high temperatures. Minor issues: there was no bedside lamp, the room got uncomfortably hot so a fan would help, and baking trays were missing for the oven.

“Réservation annuler au dernier moment par l’établissement à FUIR !!!”

We couldn’t get into the accommodation because the owner cancelled the booking, yet he didn’t inform Booking that we were left on the street that night, even in London. The staff were very unpleasant and arrogant, leaving us in a difficult situation without any help. We had to leave the area quickly.
