The accommodation sits beside the road but the traffic noise is muted because it’s tucked in a bit; it’s very comfortable if you plan to keep driving the next day, as we did, and the staff—especially one charming gentleman—was incredibly friendly and treated us wonderfully, a real treat.

The front‑desk staff were very considerate, we ate well (simple but nicely served) at the restaurant for a low price, but it’s a pity that the hotel, which has its charm, is in a less than ideal setting.
