I found the room, bathroom and breakfast very expensive. There was no kitchen or anything like that, which you’d expect from a hostel, and the bathroom drain didn’t work properly/was smelly.

A very quiet, very calm place. The room had no television.

The spot offers a fantastic view of the neighboring island Pico, though you have to climb a very steep path to get there. Youth hostels usually give at least some options for self‑catering when dinner isn’t provided; at least a kettle and a toaster should be available.
