The location was perfect for the Offa’s Dyke walk, the stay was very comfortable, and the restaurant food was lovely.

“Nice bed, easy stay and check in!”

I showed up late, but the check‑in was straightforward and the instructions were clear in an email; the room was nicely arranged, very spacious, and the bed was huge and comfortable—my feet usually dangle off the end because I'm tall, so it was perfect. The green emergency light in the room was a bit too bright; it wasn’t as bright as some reviews claimed you could read by it, but in the middle of the night it definitely felt noticeably brighter in a pitch‑black room. The shower cubicle was a bit small to move around in, even for someone tall and thin, but aside from that my stay was great.

“Lovely stay, great staff and lodge. Would definitely go again!”

The lodge was lovely, really spacious, and very clean, but the mattresses could have been more comfortable, and I felt it was unfair to have to pay so much extra to use the pool.

The setting was beautiful, the spa and food were amazing, but it was overpriced and could use more staff to serve meals.
