“Great room great staff. A**”
The room was great and beautifully appointed, but the cost felt a bit too high.

Everything was superb, nothing was lacking.

Old‑world charm, meticulous attention to detail, stunning retro furnishings, and a superb pub bar downstairs – nothing else to note.

Easy access and a good location, with no complaints.

It was a nice pub with a boutique feel throughout. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The beds were quite comfortable and the room had the basics you'd need in it. There is a tray of extras you can use for an additional price. A shampoo/bodywash, conditioner, hand wash and hand cream in the bathroom. The food at the pub was really nice and the staff generally were lovely (the breakfast staff in particular). It was a convenient location for what we had planned and it was a nice quiet area. There was a wedding going on the time we were staying but didn't impact us at all so we hardly noticed - still managed to get a table for food outside so there's plenty of space there!. The rooms were a little tired in places (scratches on the walls, wood chippings in the corner of the doors), main light had mismatch lightbulbs, we were told we had a smart TV but you could only access live TV. Our bathroom door actually couldn't be closed, it was incredibly hard to push shut or pull open and also didn't fit within the frame (we did mention this at check out, we were only there for a night). The breakfast was nice but the continental area didn't have a lot of choice and unfortunately had a lot of fruit flies hovering (floating in the milk) - not much the staff could have done but could probably do with getting some sort of covers to protect the produce. We were also a little confused as when we checked in and went up to our room, the door was being propped open with an electric radiator (as were all the rooms), which was plugged in inside our room. We assumed all the rooms had one and they were heating the areas a little, so pulled it into the room to shut the door and keep our room warm. Switched it off when we went out for the evening. When we came back, staff had obviously let themselves into the room without any consent and taken it back, which was slightly confusing. Not a lot of communication about our stay either - no explanation of how to access the room areas, what time breakfast was etc. The booklet in the room had info, but when we tried to order food to the room (which the info booklet said you could do), we realised there's no phone in the room and no number to call (other than night manager which is no use before 11pm, and kitchen is then shut anyway). There's an app to use but this particular pub isn't part of the app yet. On the app you can apparently click and collect, which we were happy to do, but since this pub isn't part of it we couldn't do that. We gave up after that and decided not to get any food
