“Terrible”
The rooms seemed clean. We left within 2 hours of arriving. When we got there, the receptionist was unfriendly, almost hostile, and tried to put us in a smaller room even though we had booked a larger one and the hotel was empty. After a small argument she finally gave us the correct room, but by then my wife and I had lost the desire to stay. We looked around the hotel before leaving; there was no stocked bar or café, and the table‑tennis table had no usable balls. Overall the facilities weren’t 4‑star quality. In Gazalkent we walked around the immediate area—there’s nothing here and no clear way to the lake, a depressing place. The rooms were clean overall, but there was a smell in the toilets of both rooms we were given. After leaving we messaged the hotel for a refund as a gesture of goodwill, but they offered only empty words and a room upgrade, which we didn’t take. We were just glad to get out and back to Tashkent! I normally don’t leave negative reviews, so it takes a lot for me to write and post one.
