The staff are friendly and helpful, and the gardens are gorgeous and well maintained. Breakfast is included, and they can pack it for you if you leave early. The hotel offers activities like safari and canoeing in the national park, plus pick‑up and drop‑off from the bus station. The bar and restaurant stay open until 9 pm. The pool needs a little upkeep, which is a shame. The organization is a bit chaotic; the staff asked several times about room cleaning, but the room wasn’t cleaned until around 4 pm. The safari and canoe departures are never on time, so you end up waiting with no explanation.

The accommodation is comfortable with everything you need; it’s very quiet and idyllic. A spontaneous booking with airport transfer worked out without problems. Dinner at the restaurant offers a good selection and quality. Unfortunately, the water wasn’t refilled, and there was no way to order room service via a sign on the door or similar. The location is a bit outside of Sahaara, so you either have to drive into town or eat at the hotel’s restaurant (though the dining hours are short). The hotel’s safari packages are too expensive, many large groups crowd the restaurant, and the breakfast quality could be better.

The hotel’s standard coffee is a powdered blend, which is not what you expect from a place of this caliber.

We stayed in a nice villa that was spacious with a good shower. Breakfast was very good, and the evening buffet was nice too. The villa sits in lovely gardens surrounded by nature, and there’s a good swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we booked our safaris through them. They also arranged our bus back to Kathmandu and gave us a lift to the bus station. It’s not far to walk to the river, where there are some local cafés. One evening they offered a free cultural show. It was disappointing to see that the hotel offered elephant rides.
