We’re a couple of motorcyclists who picked “Al passaggio di Pirro” mainly for its optimal location to see as much of Basilicata as possible in a week. Arriving at this extraordinary place right in the middle of nature exceeded our initial expectations. We stayed a week instead of the planned three days. It’s near places of interest like Miglionico and Matera, and not far from Bernalda (the town of Francis Ford Coppola and Marco 😜). For motorcyclists we recommend the beautiful roads through the Calanchi that lead to the ghost town of Craco, all reachable in about 30 minutes from the property. The setting is in the heart of nature, very tranquil, with a lovely attached pool. Finally, we want to mention the people who make up this welcoming family! From the culinary explanations about their father Michele’s product line to the passion for their mother Maria’s local cuisine. Their son Massimo, always on the move, handles routine maintenance and cooks rare‑quality pizzas, always ready to bring a smile. Then there’s Marco, the impeccable maître d’, very attentive to guests’ needs. Cleanliness is impeccable thanks to Michele’s sister. All of them made us feel truly at home! Thanks and see you next time!
