“A wonderful stay — comfortable, relaxing, and highly recommended!”
Everything was wonderful: the property was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, the location was excellent, and I really enjoyed my stay; I would happily stay here again.
The breakfast was excellent, the coffee was great, and the hosts were friendly. Everything else was perfect.
A special thank you to Martin and Marie for their friendliness and courtesy; we found the atmosphere very family‑like and truly appreciated it.

The owners genuinely try to make you comfortable, the breakfast is good, parking is across the street, the shower is fine, the room was tidy and clean, and there’s a seat at the back. The room is very small, the mattress is good but the bed is short and creaks, the floors creak—including ours—and the walls are thin, so you hear what’s happening next door. The worst part was the road beside the building, where cars rush by at 06.00 am; we slept in a room facing the road and, even with the windows closed, the noise woke us early. The traffic on the road is tolerable during the day, but the early‑morning cars meant we couldn’t sleep with the windows open, and because the windows face southwest, the sun hits them in the evening. Without shutters or air‑conditioning it gets hot quickly. I’m glad we weren’t there in summer, otherwise it would have been unbearable. The name “Château des chambres” suggests a château, but it’s just a house with rooms for rent; the owners live there too and sit in the evening when you arrive for the TV. Nothing’s wrong with that, but they immediately ask how your day was, which isn’t always welcome.

Great. Exactly what you need to unwind after a day’s tour of St. Michel. Very lovingly run with a fantastic hearty breakfast buffet. We could check in late and slept very soft and comfortably.
