The location is excellent, just meters from the coastal path where whales come very close to shore, about 100 metres from the harbour where whale‑watching cruises depart, and only a 2 km walk into Hermanus town centre; it’s very quiet at night, which is perfect.

The stay was excellent; the property was huge and well managed.

Our room was comfortable, light, and quiet. The charming manageress Linda was very helpful. We enjoyed plenty of privacy in the lovely enclosed garden and small clean pool. The communal area was spacious and characterful, though a car is necessary because it’s quite far from the centre.
