“Nightmare”

The location was fine, but it was a nightmare: the bed, walls and some furniture were infested with bed bugs, the place was not clean at all. The owner ignored all my calls and messages. Avoid it.

“Confort et proximité”

The comfort and layout of the rooms were pleasant, the apartment was quiet, the little touches at breakfast were appreciated, the neighbors were friendly, and the centre, museums and parks were close by.

“Great apartment in a great location. Expect some street noise and challenge with building’s stairway”

The apartment’s spot was excellent, right in the middle of the lively Albert Cuyp Market with food, drink, clothing stalls and cafés just steps away, and the tram stop to Central Station only a three‑minute walk. As Jews, the proximity to Bet Chabad, a kosher restaurant and grocery on the same block, was a bonus. The room itself was clean and well‑equipped, and the kitchen and fridge were very handy. Angelo and Denice were very kind and answered any concerns or requests quickly. However, a few things bothered us: the stairs were steep and narrow, making it hard to move our large bags up to the third floor—there’s no lift. The market below was noisy, with vendors setting up early in the morning, and the curtains didn’t close fully, letting in light that disturbed our sleep. The price was high, and most of it had to be paid in cash, which was inconvenient.

“Adequate in good location but not that memorable”

The place was self‑contained, in a good location and came with a washing machine. The three flights of very steep steps were hard with heavy suitcases, the mattress and pillows were lumpy, and it felt a bit run down.

The place sits in a solid spot, but you can’t use the kitchen because there’s no hob, the bathroom is tiny and the sink is hard to reach, the apartment feels makeshift, and it’s on the third floor with steep stairs that make lugging luggage a chore.
