The location is very good, with rice terraces right in front of the house, and the owner is very nice and helpful. I think Ping’an is ideal for exploring and relaxing on the terraces. Dazhai has beautiful terraces and a cable car, which you can visit on a day trip or hike back and forth, or just drive. For a stay, Ping’an is the best. Longji, the ancient village, is also reachable on foot and is nice to see, but the tourist infrastructure there is a bit lacking.
The hotel sits across the Rice Terraces, offering a perfect view. The facilities are great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. No negatives.
The location is superb, the service is excellent and the breakfast is very good.

“Perfect little hotel in the heart of Ping'an village”
Traveling with my brother, we loved this hotel. The host was incredibly kind, picking us up from the parking lot below the village, saving us a lot of uphill walking. She also gave us a complimentary room upgrade and breakfast for all three days. The room was clean, spacious, with a balcony overlooking the rice terraces, giving us a terrific view. The location was very convenient; from the hotel we could take a short 1–2 hour hike to two viewpoints in Ping’an village. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant, which had an extensive menu, was as good as elsewhere, and reasonably priced.
