The room was fantastic—spacious and the bed super comfortable, and breakfast had great options, especially the huge Full English; the staff were very friendly and the location is perfect for exploring the New Forest.

I was greeted with a lukewarm attitude from the staff and had to wait 10 minutes to book in; the dog‑friendly vibe was off because dog hair was everywhere on the carpet.

Everything was flawless, from the staff to the food and accommodation, but the check‑in could have been smoother: a manned reception rang the bell but no one answered, so I had to walk to the main building to find staff, which was the only drawback.
