“A welcoming place with heart and soul”
When we booked we almost cancelled because the place is on an island only reachable by ferry and we worried the schedule would cut us off from other sights, but since it was our last stop on a round trip we kept it, and looking back we’re thrilled we did; Heir Island House felt like a true home away from home with heart and soul, and even our dog settled in right away. We stayed three nights and never wanted to leave, the breakfast was generous and tasty, and for an extra fee you could get a midday snack or a fantastic dinner. We loved eating and chatting with other guests at the big table. Claudia and Craig were always friendly, upbeat, welcoming, and they even helped move our luggage to and from the pier (we could have taken a lift but chose to walk). We’ll definitely return to Heir Island House. There’s nothing to complain about.
