The loch was stunning and the food was good, but the location on a noisy, busy road ruined the scenery, and the unclear charge for dogs at check‑in was frustrating.

The room faced the loch, and even in the rain I could still enjoy the view; the food was great and the staff were friendly.

The staff the food and bar. The first room they showed us was a long walk outside to the main building they put us in one that was closer but the main A75 road runs past and despite some triple glazing, traffic noise could be heard, so book a Loch facing room to overcome this problem
