“Nice rooms and comfortable beds”

The rooms were spotless and the gardens were gorgeous, yet there was nowhere outside the room to sit for a morning coffee.

“Comfortable and friendly motel stay in Cloncurry.”

This motel in a charming country town made us feel very comfortable and we enjoyed a tasty meal at the restaurant; the pool was a definite plus, especially with the resident wallabies watching over it.

“Would return if travelling through Cloncurry again.”

The location was good, a little off the main road, and we could walk to a large park, a tourist information centre, and a museum; we also enjoyed a meal at the onsite restaurant.

“Stellar customer service but rooms need renovations & deeps cleans”

The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating, and the pool was lovely; the Buddy Boy restaurant nearby was pretty nice too. However, our room was not cleaned to a 110% spotless standard—the toilet seat had urine, the pillows had hair, blankets were scuffed, and the floor had not been vacuumed. Reception staff were kind, apologetic, and moved us to a better room quickly, but we later found “rocks” in the cupboard that looked like poop. We understand Cloncurry is small and staff may be limited, but the cleanliness was unacceptable, especially with our baby in tow; despite this, the beds were very comfortable and we slept well.
