“Personal muy amable y comida muy buena”

The hotel is excellent and the staff is very attentive. We arrived in Maafushi by boat from Malé and the workers waited at the port to carry our luggage; they stayed very attentive throughout our stay. The half‑board meals are very complete, with varied dishes each day and a mix of local and international cuisine. The rooftop pool is good, though a bit small when several people are there. The worst part of Maafushi in general is that Bikini Beach is very small and a bit far from the hotel.

“New and shiny hotel. Bad hospitality culture”

Triton is a new and fancy hotel in Maafushi, but that’s where the attraction ends. The staff are hard to communicate with; you explain something and they nod yes, then do the exact opposite. Very bad experience. Tourists beware, because all that glitters is not gold. Triton Hotels does not run the tours and water sports they advertise to guests. A full‑day tour was sold to our group under false advertising, and when we reached the middle of the ocean, the real tour operators introduced new fees and extorted us. We had no choice in the middle of the ocean, and they keep trying to charge extra at every opportunity.
