When I told the staff about the problems in my room, they acted fast. They removed the food, but they never fixed the curtain rod. There was leftover food from previous guests, the curtain rod was hanging off, the lobby smelled bad, the grounds were neglected, the towels were dingy, and the pool was dirty.

I wasn’t happy with the building at all; it’s obvious the property is old and rundown and clearly needs a remodel. The location was also disappointing – too many people, whether homeless or not, loiter around the property, making it feel unsafe for families traveling alone. Loud noises came from the side of the property where I stayed, with people playing loud music all night and dogs barking loudly. The bathrooms were awful: no hot water, the bathtub looked like it had black mold or debris at the bottom, and there were barely any towels or soap. The beds squeaked and had no support, so I brought my own pillows. The coffee machine and microwave in the room didn’t work at all.

The bed was comfortable and the floors were hard. However, the pillow had blood/dirt stains, the tub was disgusting, and even though we asked for a non‑smoking room, they gave us a smoking one. The walls were stained, and when I looked at the window at night with the curtains closed, it looked like a “twinkle twinkle little star” because of all the holes in the curtain. I was grateful I had my disposable sheets, which was the only way I could rest properly.

The price of $56 for one night was the only good thing. The staff were unhelpful, the rooms were dirty, and the room door wouldn’t close unless I slammed it. I felt very unsafe in one of the outside rooms.
