The host was super nice and always helpful. It smelled strongly of mold and the furniture was very old.

The host greeted us warmly even though we arrived late in the evening, and the bathroom was clean with a bathtub, which is great for €15 if you only need a bed. However, the place feels like a converted garage, the mattress sagged in the middle, some sheets were stained, and there was no rubbish bin.

If you’re driving from Tbilisi to Kutaisi and need a break, Surami Guest House Shorety is the perfect pit stop; fresh local fruit is cheap nearby, and the hosts are exceptionally kind, giving you genuine, friendly hospitality that makes you feel at home. Everything was good, so it’s a highly recommended spot to rest along the route.
