The Stadthotel-Garni Smutje is a privately-run hotel in Norden's centre, 5 km from the North Sea. It features a restaurant, beer garden, and traditional East-Frisian tea room. We’re back for the third time at Smutje and have booked again for December; it’s perfect – we love it. Nothing to complain about, everything’s top.

The breakfast spread is impressive and the staff are very friendly and helpful, plus you can park for free right at the hotel. We booked the unit for four people, but the bathroom felt a bit cramped and the shower was too small to stand in; that was the only issue we had ;-)
