The staff were very polite and left a strong positive impression. The place turned out smaller than expected, but that worked out well for my son who dislikes crowds. The location and facilities were decent, though not exactly what I had hoped for; the property was well maintained and felt clean and warm. Thanks to the staff’s hospitality, we had a pleasant stay. On the downside, the booking page on BookingCom made it hard to see what meals were included, and when we booked for three people the confirmation showed only two. I almost hesitated to book, but calling the hotel directly cleared that up and they also confirmed the meals, which saved us from a big disappointment at dinner. They upgraded our side dish to a regular kaiseki at no extra cost. It would have helped to know the number of rooms and that it’s a welfare facility when you book. I was disappointed that my room didn’t have a sea view; I didn’t mind when I booked, but I’d have appreciated knowing whether a room had a view or not, and a slight price difference would have been fine. The road beside the hotel meant that at night the passing cars’ headlights and noise were bothersome, and the air‑conditioner made a loud noise even at low fan speed. (Room: 片名)
