A stunning room that was clean, tidy, and came with high‑quality towels that you don't usually get for this price. The room had plenty of amenities, including a cute ironing board and iron, fresh sheets, and a well‑thought‑out air‑conditioning unit that sits just off the bed instead of directly above it. The location is unbeatable; once you exit the apartment you’re right in the heart of Catania. The host was very comfortable, quick, and friendly. Some other guests complain about English, but here we’re in Italy, so a little Google Translate and ChatGPT is fine. The only downside was that all the cabinets in the kitchen were locked, so I couldn’t find anything to cut fruit when I was in the middle of the kitchen; maybe there was a good reason, but I’d have liked to have that option. We skipped breakfast because we wanted to eat outside. The rooms are oddly well insulated—though the apartment is in the center, you hear nothing. Standing on the balcony you can hear the city’s buzz; it’s a romantic spot, and it’s great that they don’t allow clothes to be hung on the balcony, something you see a lot in Italy that would ruin the charm of this lovely spot.

The room was spacious and the décor was very appealing. The staff spoke very limited English, but they were eager to help us at all times.

The location was good, breakfast was tasty, and the staff took care of us during breakfast. The listing advertised an oven, toaster, and cooktop, which made it seem like you could use them, but the kitchen is staff‑only, so that was confusing.

The furniture, cleanliness, location, and staff friendliness were all excellent. Things that could be improved include better soundproofing for rooms on the piazza, more darkness in those rooms, and a richer selection of salty items at breakfast.
