Everyone who runs the place is lovely and helpful. The manager went out of his way to chase down the express bus to get our forgotten day pack back! The only issue was the futon beds; I’d suggest checking if Western beds are available for Western guests. Everything else was great.

The staff were very helpful, telling me which bus to take and so on. It’s a quaint, no-nonsense hotel. It’s a bit dated, but the room was huge. I expected a working shower but had to use the public onsen every day; as a non‑Japanese, I’m not used to public bathing, so it was hard to adjust. The meals were decent in quality, but the portions were not satisfying.

“Amazing service, nice facilities, great view”

The set meals in the morning and at night were a real highlight. It was so much fun to have communal meals in the nice dining room. The view from the room was incredible, and the rooms (with tea) were cozy and spacious.
