The food was great, and the game‑drive guide was very interested and knowledgeable.
“Beautiful Zululand”
The area and the game drives were excellent. The rooms were very functional, with great hot showers that were always clean. The lodge service was unskilled and needs to be more aware of guests’ needs (such as ordering drinks or snacks); we were never offered crisps or nuts while having evening drinks.

The lodge sits in a stunning spot right in the heart of the reserve, and the moment we arrived the team made us feel instantly at home. Everything is impeccably maintained and the game drives are wonderful, with guides taking their time and explaining everything clearly. We were driven around by Kumba and, thanks to the Dutch/African saying “the persistent wins,” we managed to spot every member of the Big 5.
This place is truly exceptional – the location is beautiful, the welcome is warm and friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. It's a real gem, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience.
