The harbour location was both convenient and beautiful, and the place stayed quiet. The food was fantastic and good value, and everyone on staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed biking around the island (bikes can be hired for free at a spot on the other end of the village). We saw puffins for the first time in our lives! A double bed would have been nicer than two singles pushed together, but we coped.

The hosts, Anton and Penny, are delightful—Anton is personable and welcoming, and Penny is a first‑rate chef. In this breezy spot, the bar and restaurant area would benefit from carpeting and a real log or coal fire to make the place cozier for patrons.

Breakfast was wonderful, and the staff went out of their way to meet my vegan preference. All good. A very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.

Great hosts! The hotel is right by the ferry pier. The island is beautiful.
