The room was perfect, the mosquito net was a plus, all the walking paths were great, and the city was lively the night before. We wanted to leave for lunch, go to the spa, and our dream was to go to the spa from our hotel room, but we wouldn’t want to do that in bad weather!!!

The accommodation is very pleasant with a terrace overlooking the river. Note that the sauna is located in a separate building.

The riverside towns of Ennetbaden and Baden are charming and worth a stroll. The hotel sits on a quiet street with nice river views and is within walking distance of many eateries and shops. My room was roomy and spotless. Grocery shopping was a short walk, and an elevator on the Baden side of the promenade connects to the higher part of town, so it’s easy for anyone who can’t use stairs. The downside is that the Ennetbaden reception is only open part of the day, so if you need anything before 10 am, over lunch, or in the evening you must cross the river to the main hotel. If you have an early flight, settle your bill the day before. Parking is tricky because of construction; you have to use a different street name to reach the garage. I asked for directions before arriving but was told the staff would help me on arrival, which was frustrating, so I’d recommend getting clear instructions beforehand.

The stay was average; the main issue was the limited hours of the receptionist.
