The quiet location and beautiful view made me gush. The chef and staff were very friendly, helpful, and courteous without being intrusive. The door lock was a Buntbart lock and the outside door to the guest area was always open, which felt a bit weak for my sense of security, but overall it’s quieter here than in the city.

“On the edge for this money”

I stayed at a decent place with a comfy bed and a great view, and the host was friendly. We enjoyed the balcony, and nearby there’s an intriguing tower with FRG/GDR history. It was a huge plus that they offered decaf coffee at breakfast on request! Breakfast was basic—no veggies, one egg per person—but overall acceptable. However, synthetic sheets are a big no‑no for any hotel, and there was no shower gel, only soap. The hotel is far from the autobahn, and the bedside lamp didn’t work because the socket was loose; with only one plug per side you must choose between the lamp or charging your phone.

I liked the hint of history—it felt like a short pleasant time‑travel. Sure, some things could be refreshed, but why bother? It’s nice that such places still exist. My vacation ended before that.

“Absolute Ruhe in außergewöhnlicher Lage”

The inn had an exceptional location. Check‑in and check‑out went smoothly. Breakfast was sufficient. The evening menu was small, but the food was very tasty.
