The Maasresidence sits right on the Maas and connects directly to a huge bike network in the Netherlands and the adjacent Belgian Limburg. Aside from a few minor issues, the property is well maintained, and the pool is very clean. There’s a dedicated security service and a small shop. The staff were consistently friendly but sometimes lacked decisiveness. The on‑site restaurant’s drinks were completely overpriced—almost €10 for a wheat beer is unacceptable and not explainable by higher VAT. The hotel was unfortunately not clean; in 12 days, the corridors and elevator weren’t cleaned even once. The room was functional but the mattresses were a real ordeal. The bathroom had no storage space. It was a pity there were no spots by the water where you could sit without buying something; the two park benches didn’t help. You pay for the location, not for comfort. Overall, it was too little for too much money.
