Abra Marina Hotel

The spot is spot‑on – right in the middle of everything and the shower works fine. Unfortunately the room reeked of damp, the mattress was lumpy, the bedside shelf was broken and there was no heating at all. The linens were old, the bath mat was snapped, and overall maintenance seemed non‑existent. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Everything about this place was a mixed bag – the positives and the negatives were basically the same thing. I couldn’t tell if I was getting any real benefit or just a generic experience. In short, it was all‑over‑the‑place.

The only thing that worked for me was the location; the room itself was a nightmare. Walls painted in clashing colors, a polka‑dot paper‑like fabric on the bed, and a tiny window that didn’t exist at all. They called early to clean, there was no breakfast, the sheets smelled off and gave me a facial rash, and the ancient heater barely warmed the space.

“Hermoso”

Staff were genuinely attentive and quick to help whenever I needed something. Nothing else really stood out, but the service alone made the stay pleasant.

The only redeeming feature was the location; the rest felt like staying in a damp cave with zero natural light. The owner was rude, and despite the hostel vibe they didn’t provide any dishes or glasses – just a kettle, so you have to bring your own cup. The smell of mildew was constant and the overall feel was far from welcoming.
