The Yucatan Playa Del Carmen, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

“Mooi hotel en perfect gelegen”

I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel's beautiful design, excellent location, and incredibly friendly staff. Darina at the front desk was a standout, always smiling and going out of her way to help. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast was good, but not exceptional. However, there were plenty of great restaurants nearby to get a delicious breakfast. The price-quality ratio was excellent.

This hotel's excellent location on the fifth avenue was a major plus, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. However, we had to call to request extra towels, which was inconvenient. The hotel doesn't have a backup power source, so when the lights went out, it caused some issues during our stay. The breakfast was served very late, which wasn't ideal, especially since we were in a tourist area with conflicting tour schedules.

“Très décevant”

The hotel's rooftop terrace with a pool was a lovely feature, but unfortunately, the room we stayed in fell short of expectations. The lack of a window that could be opened made the room very dark and humid, likely due to a leak in the ceiling. The location was also quite noisy at night. Additionally, the room was missing some essential amenities, such as a hair dryer and more than two towels.

I was thoroughly disappointed with my stay at this hotel, which I'd rate at best 2 stars. The constant noise from the street and within the hotel itself, including loud music, chatty staff, and a noisy air conditioning unit, made it difficult to relax. The generator in the room was an added annoyance. The breakfast was a letdown, with no buffet option and limited ordering options.

While I wouldn't recommend this hotel to those seeking luxury, it did have some redeeming qualities. The location was convenient, and the staff were friendly. However, the hotel's proximity to a noisy area made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The air conditioning unit was also quite loud, and the staff would often stand outside our room, chatting loudly. To make matters worse, we were downgraded from a suite to a standard room, despite booking well in advance.
