Hotel Sonnenkeller Neu-Ulm is a family-run hotel in the quiet Pfuhl district, 3 km from Ulm Congress Centre. Modern rooms with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, and private bathrooms are offered. On-site parking is free. A large buffet breakfast is served daily. The hotel is close to Ulm Zoo, Atlantis leisure baths, and Donaustadion stadium, with easy motorway access to A7 and A8.

When I arrived, the reception was unoccupied due to illness, yet I quickly found a staff member and everything was already sorted.

Everyone was very nice, and the room was absolutely fine. However, the rooms are extremely noisy; you can hear phones and conversations in the hallway and from neighboring rooms.

The only bright spot was the friendly lady at breakfast, but everything else was an absolute disaster. The rooms were filthy, stank of cigarette smoke, and the whole place felt like a bad movie set. I’m fine with old furniture if it’s well maintained, but this was beyond belief. The photos only show a fraction of the mess, which says it all.
