Conveniently located near the Port of Brookings (10-minute walk), Redwood National Park (1-hour drive), and the California/Oregon state line (10-minute drive).

The oceanfront view was great, but the staff never answered the phone and the check‑in was rigid at 4 pm even when rooms were free; they promised a call when available but never did. The hotel felt like it was from 20 years ago, so I paid an extra $150 for a rundown place that’s not worth it. Mold in the bathroom and the entire property needs a makeover. They try to justify the high rates by being the only oceanfront hotel in Brookings, but don’t waste your money.

I loved the spot and the roomy room with a comfy bed, but the path to the beach requires navigating through a lot of driftwood and it’s hard to re‑enter the property from there; there’s no north side trail, which just doesn’t make sense.

The location right on the beach was perfect, but the bathroom layout and the fact that the shower was in a jacuzzi tub were not to my taste.
