The place was friendly, well‑located, had local amenities and terrific home‑cooked food, and it was very comfortable. Everything was very good.

The food was brilliant and very enjoyable, but the room had problems: the bath had no cold water at all, the hot tap on the sink trickled and only had cold water. The staff and the food made up for the room.

The staff were lovely and the evening meal in the bar was great with massive portions. It was easy to access the public car park at the rear and there was plenty of hot water. We struggled a bit with the key to lock the door, but that’s probably just us!
