Candlewood Suites Aurora-Naperville by IHG

“Illinois Stay”

I appreciated the room’s size and the polite staff; the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. However, the room’s cleanliness fell short: dishes and sponges had tiny dead bugs, and occasional drain‑fly‑like insects drifted around. The lounge chair also failed to extend.

“It’s not worth the money to pay for such a rundown hotel. I couldn’t sleep at all the whole night. It’s too expensive”

The location is convenient, but the bed is uncomfortable, the carpet is sticky and dirty (needs deep cleaning), and the room feels depressing. There’s no ice machine in the hotel, only a personal mini‑one in each room’s freezer that makes loud noises as ice cubes randomly fall into a container. The hotel room doors don’t close softly; they thud loudly. The reception staff are unhelpful.

“Horrible night. Room was dirty. Very noisy. Doors slamming all night.”

I didn’t get any breakfast, and the coffee was awful too. I even saw cock roaches scurrying across the kitchen counter in my room, and I had to turn on the light in the morning just to get dressed.

“Will recommend”

The suite was nice and clean, and there was nothing else to complain about.

The place was clean and quiet, but several things malfunctioned: the fridge made a noise like a freight train, and there was no ice because the machine hadn’t been repaired.
