Travelodge by Wyndham Cambridge - Waterloo

“Very nice would stay again I am sure once finished renovations it will be very nice.”

The hotel is under renovation, which isn’t their fault, but we stayed in a newly renovated room that was lovely – clean, with a walk‑in shower. The only snag was that the couch sits right in front of the heater, so we couldn’t adjust it without it shutting off when it hit the couch.

“Overall it was a pass for the facility. Nothing extraordinary!”

They really should add microwaves to the rooms – it’s standard in most hotels, instead of having to go downstairs each time you want one! I guess they’re still renovating because the decor feels off; the floor rug in the corridor and the front porch without a ceiling are off-putting. The A/C needs servicing, it’s slowly losing its chill. On the bright side, the place is close to most restaurants, facilities, and the main boulevard.

The hotel was still in the middle of renovations and they gave us an unrenovated room. We had booked a king‑size bed but received two doubles instead. The blankets felt like curtains, and we couldn’t drink the tap water.

The room was very recently renovated and spacious, offering good value for money. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for every taste, though construction is still underway at the moment.

“If we could have been given a discount for the wrong rooms or given one of the renovated rooms our stay would have been”

Parking was free, but there were dumpsters everywhere in the lot. The property was under major renovations that we weren’t warned about. We booked two king‑size rooms but were given double‑bed rooms; the front desk blamed a third‑party booking and wouldn’t help or offer a discount. We also had to ask for soap because none was provided in the bathrooms.
