The pousada by the beach at Taipu de Fora was a tasty find, just a 5‑minute walk along the shore to the natural pools. Rooms and bathrooms were comfy and charming. Breakfast offered variety and quality, though it only opened at 8 am. A 10‑minute walk brought a pizza place, burger joint, two or three decent restaurants, an ice‑cream shop, and small markets. It’s close to Barra Grande village and Ponta de Mutá (16 min by car), where many services await. Photos made me think most rooms faced the beach, but actually the pool and restaurant do; the rooms are at the back. The bar is open, so it’s always crowded, reducing privacy. The breakfast area is cramped for the number of guests—opening earlier would help, as many people wait until 8 am. Power outages happened repeatedly; the generator kicked in almost instantly, but you have to shut everything down first, so watching TV is tough.
